Iced In

In Indianapolis, the big winter storm that has taken over 50% of the country came in the form of ice. It had something to do with the combination of the warm air up in the atmosphere and the cold air down here that caused all of the precipitation to fall as rain or sleet. As a result, Daniel and I have been iced in for the past 2 days. We are both really ready to get out of the house (and will probably go out to Chili's or something for dinner just to get out of here!). It was so fun to have 2 days of nothing to do but hang out together in the house. We got a lot of cleaning done, watched a few movies and played games together.

Today, once the crazy weather seemed to be completely over, we decided to head out for a walk and to scrape off the cars. Boy am I glad we did that tonight, because both cars were basically ice cubes. There is basically a 1-2 inch layer of ice on everything. The roads in our neighborhood seem pretty bad, but I am hoping the primary roads are in better shape.

This chunk of ice came off the roof of my car

There was a lot of this going on because the
 ground was so slippery

Happy my car is now de-iced (notice the
spatulas, we used them to get started
before we could open the door)

Looove the icy pics! Nice work! :) oh and fun envelopes. And drinking your weight in hot chocolate sounds delish.
