The weather was perfect for all of our favorite beach activities: boogie boarding, Sand castle building, reading, watching the sunset, playing cards, drinking margaritas and walking on the board walk. Daniel likes to remind me that before he came along my family spent most of the time on the sand under an umbrella (or in the sun) reading books. It is true, he did reform us (well at least me) and now I spend more time in the water then I use to. However, the true reformer of our family is only about 2 ft high and sure knows she is in charge of things.
We knew she loved the water, because ever since she could crawl she was like a magnet towards to surf. But now that she can not only walk but run, Lilli is constantly running towards the waves with no fear. Ray had to pull her out of the water and wrap her in a towel every once in a while so she wouldn't get hypothermia. Thankfully the sand and her little kiddie pool kept her entertained for a while so her daddy and poppy could take a break every once in a while.
All in all it was a perfect week. The only thing not perfect about it was that Daniel had to go home half way through the week because he couldn't take that many days off.
